We arrived at my parent’s house in Boyds, MD yesterday morning, July 8th, at 7:30 am after a twenty-one hour drive that began in Madison, WI. Since then we have unloaded and returned the trailer, dropped the cats off with a friend (who will care for them while we get settled), and set up temporary accommodations in the barn.
I could hardly believe how much we paid in tolls the last day of our trip. There were no tolls at all until Indiana, then suddenly it seemed like we had to stop every few miles. By the time we got to Maryland we had spent over a hundred dollars in tolls.
Today we began contacting potential apartments. For me the next step will also include job hunting. We plan to make our first sortie up to New Brunswick next Monday. I look forward to seeing the town that is to be our new home.
